Our Comprehensive Custom Casting Services

We understand that each of our customers’ project requirements varies depending on casting type, material, and industry. Pilgrim Harp meets our customers’ needs by providing a custom approach to casting services.

We offer four different casting capabilities:

Casting Type How It Works and What It’s Best For
Investment Casting A wax replica of your intended part is coated in your desired melted material and given time to harden. Once solid, your desired metal is poured into the shell to create the part. Our custom investment casting services are ideal for complex parts.
Die Casting Under extreme pressure, molten metal is forced into a specific die mold. The process fills the mold and cools quickly. Best for projects that need a larger volume of parts.
Sand Casting The desired mold is built by placing a sand mixture around a physical part. Molten metal is poured into the empty mold; once cooled, the sand mold is broken up. Works well for heavier, low-volume components.
Permanent Mold Typically made of iron or steel, manufacturers create a permanent mold that can be reused. Best supports medium or high-volume production.

We source from a diverse selection of U.S.-based manufacturers with complete customization options. Casting components can be designed with materials such as:

  • Aluminum alloys
  • Zinc alloys
  • Brass
  • Copper
  • Carbon steels
  • Tool steels
  • Stainless steels
  • Other specialty materials

Pre- and Post-Casting Processes

We also source from casting manufacturing companies that have diverse processes when it comes to pre- and post-casting. This will ensure that the final product meets all technical requirements. Processes available include:

  • Machining
  • Plating
  • Painting
  • Nondestructive testing
  • Heat treating
  • Grinding
  • Welding

Pilgrim Harp is also happy to coordinate the assembly and custom packaging of your finished product, including turnkey projects.
